The beachside community of Kingscliff has a touch of city sophistication with an abundance of cafes and local eateries. Main street Marine Parade is now trendy al fresco cafes which line the main street, only a step from rolling ocean beaches. Large developments to the south have brought the affluent and sea changers.
The August, Art Food and All That Jazz is a weekend of cool art, hot jazz and fine food. Drive along beach roads linking northern coastal communities of Fingal, Cabarita or the coast and country tourist drive across to Bogangar.
Head to markets on the second Saturday of the month. Swim at the surf beach or relax in the tidal creek with shady overhangs.
